Scaling a traveling platform with Kickstart

The Challenge

Sherpa was born with a clear vision: simplify travel planning into a single, seamless experience.

Today, organizing a trip means jumping between multiple websites, comparing activities, manually arranging days, and making decisions without structure.

The challenge was to concentrate that entire process into one guided, actionable flow.

Together with the team, we designed the MVP Core focused exclusively on validating:

  • Automatic day-by-day itinerary generation

  • Matching between an abstract plan and real activities

  • Manual editing without breaking coherence

  • Interaction with activities and external links

Phases

Kickstart
Before building, we defined.
We clarified the idea, narrowed the scope, and decided what needed to be validated first. Everything that added unnecessary complexity at this stage was left out.
The goal was simple: confirm real user behavior.

MVP
With a clear focus, we built the first functional version.
A guided experience that allows users to plan their trip, generate a personalized itinerary, and adjust it easily.
Enough to validate behavior. Nothing more.

Projected Impact

Sherpa is not designed to be just another activities website.

It is designed to become the decision layer that structures the entire trip.

The work done by Nomu was not only about building an MVP.

It was about defining what is worth building first and what should wait.

The result is not just a functional pre-beta platform.

It is strategic clarity on whether there is a real opportunity to scale the model.
